Don't worry, you won't have to look far for us. From Křížová Street (near Mendlovo náměstí), our store has moved less than three kilometers to Křenová 64, where we have been settling in since January 17th. What led us to move, how did it go, and what can you look forward to at the new store?
"Why did you move? Did someone force you to?" customers often ask at the new store. We are pleased to be able to answer them positively: "We moved to a bigger and better place." We strive to ensure that BatohyBrašny is constantly growing. Our team is evolving (in both number and quality), and our assortment is growing too. And during every expansion, there comes a moment when it is necessary to shed the old shell if it has become too tight. We loved our "shell" on Křížová, but we welcome the change with enthusiasm. Before we introduce all the new store's features, let's say a few words about the move itself.
The store is closed, long live the store!
Friday the 13th seemed like the ideal last day at the old store. In the evening, we said goodbye to the space with sandwiches and wine and reminisced about all the fun stories. However, "fateful Friday" apparently brought us luck, and the move went smoothly and peacefully. That is, if you don't count one flat tire, which we spent time trying to convince with frozen hands in front of the store that it didn't need to cling to the car at all costs, and that it would be well taken care of at the tire service.
In addition to testing our technical skills, we also tested our packing abilities when it was time for tape, boxes, and foil on Saturday. This activity did not go without declaring an undisputed winner of the Miss Package 2017 competition. :-)
On Sunday, the whole crew was dropped off at the new store and armed with mops, cloths, and dusters, while the support unit in the van kept supplying them with more and more packages. Monday was then marked by the motto "take positions" (i.e., unpacking), and on Tuesday, January 17th, we were already able to welcome the first customers. What awaited them at the new store?
More space for your selection
Given our assortment, which includes around 20,000 products, only a small sample could fit in the old store. However, the new store is more than three times larger, so you can look forward to a much more varied selection. We also have storage areas available directly from the store, so whatever you don't find on the shelves and hangers, we will be happy to bring to you.
In two rooms with a total area of around 260 square meters, you will find everything you were used to at the old store – backpacks, suitcases, travel bags, messenger bags and waist bags, bottles, vanity cases, wallets, and many other accessories. Now, however, we have many more representatives of everything, and the store is also airier and clearer. We have also given it a new, more modern, stylish, and playful look.
For a suitcase or backpack, now by car right to the door
Another change will certainly be appreciated by all motorized customers. We often heard your comments about the fact that parking at the old store was only possible with a great deal of ingenuity, luck, or courage. We took your comments to heart. Now you can park comfortably with us in the courtyard by the store. The entrance is directly from Křenová Street and you will easily see it from a distance. And don't worry about ending up like us – the risk of getting a flat tire here is absolutely minimal. :-)
Simpler, more comfortable, and "more wireless"
We are trying to speed up the collection of prepared orders, which is why you will find a special place at the new store intended exclusively for collecting goods ordered via our e-shop. Instead of one standard checkout, there will be two available in the future, so you don't have to worry about waiting in line.
You can also now log in for free to the customer Wi-Fi network. And if you want to see goods that we don't currently have in the store, or other available color variants, you can use the tablet panel intended specifically for searching on our e-shop as you wish.
And if these activities tire you out and you need to rest while shopping (or "park" your tired companion for a while), you can settle into the relaxation zone, where a comfortable sofa and armchairs await you. You might be surprised by the large map of the world above your head. Are you interested in its purpose?
Playfully around the world with pandas
Our mascot is the red panda, and we are also happy to sponsor it at the Brno Zoo. You will soon find pandas in our store too. And the fact that they are plush doesn't change the fact that, just like us, they crave adventure and discovery. :-)
We intend to send them out into the world so that they can (and we hope you too) inspire us with their travel experiences. The large map at the new store has only one goal: to map the location of all members of our panda pack, so you can see where their journeys are currently taking them. At the moment, our pandas are waving their paws at you from Africa and from South America.
What is not changing…
The environment has changed, but not the people. Personal approach, honesty, helpfulness, and the effort to provide the best advice remain our constant values, wherever you find us. It's still us, just in a new coat. We hope you like it. We look forward to seeing you at Křenová 64! :-)
