Affenzahn is a German brand of children's backpacks and accessories, backed by the company FOND OF GmbH from Cologne. The company was founded in 2010, when it launched its first ergonomic school backpack. The main fabric of Affenzahn backpacks is 100% polyester, 48% of which comes from recycled PET bottles. The leather details on the Pure Edition range are made of leather from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group. Since 2016, FOND OF has been a member of the non-profit Fair Wear Foundation, which uses regular audits to monitor working conditions in the factories where the backpacks are sewn.
