Affenzahn Kids' Backpacks

Affenzahn is a German brand of children's backpacks and accessories, backed by the company FOND OF GmbH from Cologne. The company was founded in 2010, when it launched its first ergonomic school backpack. The same company is behind the Ergobag school backpacks and the Satch backpacks for older pupils, which you will also find in our range.

Affenzahn backpacks look like little animals. Your child gets not just a bag, but a friend who comes along to kindergarten, on trips and on visits to grandma.

• An animal friend: every backpack is shaped like an animal with playful details, such as Velcro paws that your child can attach to different spots on the backpack.
• Sized by age: the smaller Small Friend with a 4 l capacity is designed for children aged roughly 1 to 3, the larger Large Friend with 8 l for children aged 3 to 5. The manufacturer recommends it from a height of 90 cm.
• Comfortable to wear: soft shoulder straps and a chest strap adjustable in height and width keep the backpack securely in place.

• Name tag: write your child's name or contact details on the pull-out tag, or slip a photo inside.

Materials and production

The main fabric of Affenzahn backpacks is 100% polyester, 48% of which comes from recycled PET bottles. The leather details on the Pure Edition range are made of leather from tanneries certified by the Leather Working Group. Since 2016, FOND OF has been a member of the non-profit Fair Wear Foundation, which uses regular audits to monitor working conditions in the factories where the backpacks are sewn.
