A backpack instead of a city handbag? I chose the elegant Zwei Mademoiselle MR13. It is not a handbag, but...
It has been over a year since I bought the Mademoiselle MR13 backpack from the German brand Zwei. I had been eyeing it in the store for a long time until I decided to treat myself to it for Christmas. Because I like to change my outfit colors often, I chose the Creme version, which is neutral. However, there is a really wide range to choose from, and deciding on the right shade is often not easy. And as I have heard many times in our store, some ladies even have several backpacks in different colors because they like them and one is simply not enough.

For mademoiselle and madame
At the beginning of my pregnancy, I was afraid of back pain. So I gave up carrying a handbag on one shoulder and decided on an elegant backpack. In the end, I had two in my selection: Golla Orion M and Zwei Mademoiselle MR14. After trying them out, the Zwei Mademoiselle MR13 won, as it adapted better, was smaller, and had more pockets.

I was quite satisfied with it from the beginning, but with longer use, I discovered a few minor details that take away from its perfection. First, the shoulder straps showed. On a smooth jacket, one strap would occasionally slide off my shoulder, but usually only when the backpack was half-empty and light. When full, the straps sat well. The second minor detail appeared in the spring when a stronger wind started to blow. It could open the top flap even through the sewn-in magnets. Fortunately, the main pocket is also equipped with a zipper, so there is no risk of losing things from inside.
Smart classic inside and out
The layout of the backpack is, from my point of view, more than sufficient. One main pocket and two outer ones are closable with a zipper. In the pocket on the back, I usually carried my mobile phone and keys. Both were easy to reach and yet safely stored in an inaccessible pocket. The front pocket then served for tissues and other small items.

The main space of the backpack is divided by a partition. Behind it, you can insert a tablet or a small laptop. I carried my diary and wallet in this space. On the inner side of the main compartment, there are two small open pockets. Originally, they were perhaps intended as phone pockets, but today's mobiles with a case really have no chance of fitting into them. However, this space served me for a small Secrid wallet and a few small items I cannot do without on my travels. The remaining space easily accommodated a water bottle, a snack, and pregnancy documents :)

Result
Overall, the backpack pleasantly surprised me. I expected that the synthetic leather could not withstand much, but there are no signs of intensive wear on it at all. On the back, the backpack has an embroidered flower as a nice aesthetic detail, and you can also find a floral motif on the soft lining inside the backpack. The color adapted nicely to my clothes, and I would say it goes with almost everything in my wardrobe.

After giving birth, I unfortunately had to put the backpack away for a while because it could not fit all my and my daughter's things, so it had to be replaced by larger luggage. But I secretly hope that it is only temporary, so that I can return to it with pleasure as soon as the little one grows up a bit.
