A tiny and elegant wallet that holds everything you need. But is it really as practical as it seems at first glance? Let's take a closer look.

Getting a small wallet for documents and "a bit of cash" seemed like a great idea, especially for trips abroad. I wanted to separate my documents and local currency from the euros in the wallet I use daily. After all, if you lose a few coins abroad, it's a lesser evil than losing your entire wallet with all your documents and payment cards.
The battle of small wallets
Two small wallets caught my eye: I-clip and Secrid. That started a detailed investigation into which one would be the right one for me. In the end, I missed a coin pocket on the I-clip, and that decided it – the winner was Secrid. The aesthetic criteria were clearly defined; I wanted something nice, elegant, and feminine. The matte series Secrid Miniwallet Matte charmed me, and the light pink was simply perfect.
Sophisticated elegance
And what makes this wallet so interesting? You can put up to six cards into the metal case, which you can easily slide out into a clear fan using the lever at the bottom of the case and choose the one you need. The cards are held by the sides in the case, so even if you only put one card in the wallet, it will stay in place without any problems.
In terms of size, Secrid is ideal for an ID card and driver's license, health insurance card, and payment cards. Be careful with embossed cards, which are thicker and will take up more space. A big advantage of the metal case is RFID protection, thanks to which your data from contactless cards is safe from unauthorized access.
Money always in its place
The entire wallet is covered in soft leather in a beautiful pastel color. The snap fastener keeps the folding part reliably closed. After unfastening (and rolling it out), you get access to two more pockets for cards or a few coins. Right next to the metal case is a plastic divider where you can comfortably place banknotes of various sizes.
You can then roll up the whole wallet and snap it shut, so neither coins nor banknotes will fall out. When closed, the wallet measures 6 x 10 cm, which allows for comfortable carrying in a pocket or in small compartments in a handbag, nicely and securely closed behind a zipper. Moreover, at first glance, you can't tell it's a wallet, so an unwanted thief won't know what it is.
My theory about a small "travel" wallet proved itself in practice. After three consecutive trips abroad, I even got so used to the little companion in my handbag that it quickly promoted to a practical everyday wallet. I have my documents and payment cards safely in the Secrid and loyalty cards along with cash in my classic MyWalit wallet.
Secrid wallet as an everyday partner
After half a year of use, there is practically nothing visible on the Secrid, but it is true that I always keep it in a pocket in my handbag and only take it out when paying. During the ball season, it fit comfortably into tiny evening bags, so I had everything I needed with me.
As a small disadvantage, I only perceive the limited number of cards you can have in the wallet. Likewise, the space for coins could be larger – you really can't put a handful of coins in it, but a few small ones for the restroom or parking fit comfortably.
On the matte surface of the Secrid, greasy fingerprints are slightly visible. However, this only happened to me a few times with hands freshly smeared with cream. A positive finding was that you just need to wipe the Secrid with a dry cloth and the spots disappear. Moreover, the matte finish is pleasant to the touch.
The small Secrid wallet has become my everyday partner that guards my documents and looks great at the same time. I'm not ashamed to take it to the theater in a formal handbag or on a shopping trip to the city.
