Traveling with a finger on the map
The first major question that needed to be solved will surprise few. It concerned the ideal location. The search for our dream premises began in June of last year, and luck smiled upon us relatively early – by August, we were already holding a signed lease agreement and the keys to our new branch.
The place met all our requirements – a central location, picturesque surroundings, and a shop window facing directly onto the street. The premises themselves were also in good condition, shortly after renovation, and offered enough space that we were already filling in our minds with racks full of suitcases and backpacks from the best brands. And so we didn't hesitate and happily settled into our new Prague address: Senovážné náměstí 1465/7, Prague 1.
Work of all kinds
Immediately after signing the contract, we started all the work necessary to open the new store. The deadline was set for Friday, September 15, 2017, and we never stopped hoping for a minute that everything would go according to plan.
We entrusted the production and installation of the interior to the company Idea Collective, which handled the same task for our Brno store and did an excellent job. We chose similar interior elements, with differences mainly due to the two floors, as the Prague store has both a ground floor and a basement. The ground floor is perfectly adapted for the presentation of suitcases, travel bags, and travel accessories. In the basement, there are backpacks, bags, and other (mostly sports) accessories on display. You will also find a pick-up point for our e-shop here.
In addition to the interior, we were simultaneously working on the implementation of parts of our "battle" plan. Worth mentioning is the purchase of equipment (electronics, cash registers, staff facilities, etc.), recruiting new employees, and last but not least, shouting this joyful news to the world. There was no time to spare, but fortunately, we managed everything as planned, and by mid-September, we were already ready for our first customers.
Many tasks naturally continued after the opening and continue to this day. We are trying to make ourselves heard (and seen), training new team members, and fine-tuning the store's graphics inside and out.

Nevertheless, we dare to declare the "Bagalio to Prague" campaign nearing a successful conclusion, and we would like to invite you to visit us. You can look forward to a 167 m2 store where you can view pieces from our most proven brands. You will encounter products from Titan, Travelite, March, Heys, I-Clip, Nalgene, Fjällräven, Burton, Deuter, Vaude, Ergobag, or Hedgren.
Other goods can of course be ordered on our e-shop and picked up in the store. Items that we have physically in stock at the store are prepared for pickup immediately. Goods from the central warehouse or the Brno branch can usually be picked up in Prague the next working day (if you managed to order by 12:00 PM the previous working day). Everything is taken care of by our helpful staff, whose ranks we will be expanding further very soon.
If you are heading to us by car, it is possible to park directly in front of the store. But be careful, it is a blue zone where parking is reserved for residents. However, you can also reach us easily by public transport – 100 meters from the store is the Jindřišská tram stop, and nearby (within 500 m) are the main transport hubs (Main Station and Masaryk Station) with connections to the metro.
Opening hours are convenient for everyone. On weekdays, you can find us in the store from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. On Sundays, we recharge our batteries and rest so that we can perform at our best for the rest of the week. :-)
Behind the scenes
"The idea to open a store in Prague was born three years ago. There is no need to look for some miraculous or unexpected reason. We simply know that if we want to be the best and largest entity selling travel luggage and backpacks on the Czech market, we must also operate in our capital city. The opening of the Prague branch was only realized in 2017, as other projects took priority, including moving the store and central warehouse in Brno. We didn't want to rush the step into Prague, and I believe it was the right decision."
