About the brand
The roots of the Dugros brand, from which the sub-brand Beagles also originates, are based in the small village of Oud-Beijerland in southern Holland. In 1953, the production and sale of high-quality leather goods began here in a small factory. The founder of the Dugros brand – Bas Duifhuizen, was born in 1969 among backpacks, bags, and other leather goods that his father was then producing. For a time, Bas made a living selling leather products at markets, and in 1999, he decided to move on and founded a brand for the production of leather goods – Dugros.
In 2008, a Dugros factory was opened in Kolkata, India, thanks to which the company gained better and greater control over the processing and quality of its goods.
In 2017, the brand's e-shop was launched and its range became accessible to a wider customer base.
Given that trends in the fashion industry are constantly changing and time is fast, Dugros designers seek inspiration from all over the world. Their designs are concentrated at the company's headquarters in the Netherlands, where the final form of the goods is also developed and from where the finished models of handbags, bags, wallets, and backpacks are handed over to factories for production. Thus, a perfect product is created, ready for the end customer.
The Beagles brand is the same as the breed of dogs from which it derives its name. Just like English beagles, the products are intended for society and are characterized by a balanced, non-aggressive character.
