Less than two weeks on the road. The first thousand kilometers in the wheels. The pandas are reporting from Salerno, Italy, where they spent several days waiting for the ferry. How has the journey been so far?
The whole gang codenamed napionieri had to face bitter frosts back in Slovakia. However, the Pionýr moped is simply not built for piles of snow and temperatures far below freezing. That is why these adventurers finally decided to travel by car through the coldest part. We will see how they cope with the sand and temperatures hitting the top of the thermometer scale.

Pandas on mopeds
But how are our little furry travelers doing? It seems they are doing well. They have an indispensable role as lead navigators on the expedition. And according to the guys, they are doing a great job! It certainly doesn't surprise us – the pandas packed a detailed map of Africa into their backpacks.

In addition to navigation, they also carefully oversee the necessary repairs on the machines that are supposed to take them halfway across the world. Since Venice, where the car dropped them off, the mopeds have already had to endure a lot. Through frozen Europe and the snowy Italian hills, they reached the very south in Salerno, from where they should finally leave Europe with the help of a ferry. So let's hope the ferry arrives soon so the expedition can continue.
We are sending a kiss to the pandas' foreheads and hope they will be in touch again soon!
