After returning, Iva described all her experiences to us in detail, and we were quietly envious. And since it can be an inspiration for you too, sit back and join us on the journey in your thoughts.
A list of places that should not be missed while crossing Jordan was, of course, a must. During their journey, the group of travelers set out to discover a local gem – the Dead Sea. They started from the Red Sea, which, ignoring its name, was beautifully blue. “We were very curious about what such a sea actually looks like when it is Dead. Well, at first, at the southern tip, it looked more like a white patch. But then we turned into the mountains, and that was truly magnificent. Hills, mountains, and also animals… However, it soon got dark, so we preferred to head to our beds,” Iva revealed to us. It was even more beautiful the next day. Bungee even made friends with a donkey named Ibrahim and managed to take the mandatory photo documentation.

According to guidebooks and travelogues, interesting wildlife can be found in the local mountains. Our adventurers diligently searched for hyenas, which are said to live there, but unfortunately, they did not succeed. This entire magical area, which is home to many species of animals, is called the Dana Biosphere Reserve. And that is exactly where the travelers liked it the most and they definitely recommend visiting it. The unique nature simply captivated them.

But many surprises awaited them on the road. One of them was the famous Jordan River. “I always listened to the radio and heard the singer singing ‘Cross the Jordan…’, so I imagined the river a little differently than the view that greeted us. A reed swamp, which is supposedly called that, didn't really convince me that it was a river…,” Iva did not hide her disappointment.
Even though they spent several beautiful days in Jordan full of experiences that they will surely remember for the rest of their lives, not everything went exactly as they had planned: “I was most looking forward to swimming in the Dead Sea, but unfortunately that didn't really work out in the end. From the Jordanian side, the access to the sea is very steep, and if there is any, it is in hotel resorts. And when we finally got to some so-called beach, it just looked terrible. So we at least took a picture and were sorry that it really wasn't suitable for swimming.”

Nothing can be done, at least our travelers have another reason to return to Jordan! This desert pearl surely still has much to offer.
Does Jordan tempt you too? Or have you already visited it? We look forward to your comments!
