Travel experience
My most intense experiences always come from hitchhiking because it can never be 100% planned. I love meeting people on my trips who share their stories with me. The flip side is that you can never go too far off the beaten path. Because of this, my husband and I found ourselves in a tricky situation last summer – a narrow but heavily used road was walled in by stone walls on both sides, and we had no way to change direction or hitch a ride in such a place. We were only saved by a rest area connected to a footpath between the hills and - finally - a piece of forest.
